Trading Ethereum while staying on your twitter account interface will now be possible thanks to a new feature. Indeed, Mask Network has just launched a widget allowing social network users to directly access market data and exchange Ethereum-based tokens. The implementation of this widget has been made possible through a collaboration between Uniswap and CoinMarketCap.

A service soon to be extended to Facebook

According to the announcement made through a tweet, it is expected that the widget will be displayed automatically when a user will pass over “$+tickers” such as $ETH or $UNI during his navigation. The user will then have access to a window containing market data and an interface to trade on Uniswap. In light of the initial positive feedback, Mask Network has indicated that users of other platforms should soon be able to experience the same. The company plans to extend the service to other social media such as Facebook and to the protocols of the Decentralised Finance Ecosystem (DeFi).

Other functions available on the widget before 2021

Mask users should see a new version of the service up and running in less than two months, opening the ethereum trading function on Twitter. It is expected to introduce to the widget a return aggregator, portfolio analysis and initial offer features that will be available on Twitter. However, no statement has yet been made as to what all of its new features should be used for. The widget should also offer peer-to-peer payments, token issuance and access to decentralized storage functionality to Web 2 users.

Past experiences with the widget on Twitter

At the time of its launch in 2019, Mask Network already offered a widget that allowed Twitter and Facebook users to encrypt messages on the platforms. This was followed by the appearance of other functions related to the encryption environment, in particular the news of certain events. One of them was used to detect all tweets containing a Gitcoin URL.  This allowed, for example, the user who had launched the search to make direct deposits in a crowfunding campaign. Here too, the action could quickly be carried out in one click without having to leave Twitter.

Like other social networks, Twitter is currently a source of real-time information on the latest trends or news related to cryptomoney. This important data enables users to seize market opportunities in good time, which is why this widget is so interesting.
